In celebration of the land of the rising sun, and recent Olympics and Paralympics, we thought we'd dive into Japanese cuisine this week with our At-Home, street-side BBQ, and a Yuzu Spritz Special (we have also been missing our Wednesday Ramen Night!).
Rascal At-Home | One night in Tokyo
Enjoy the best of Japanese comfort food with this At-Home menu. We are using premium local and Japanese ingredients and taking the hassle out of cooking!
Think starters such as shokupan (bread) with shio koji butter, Japanese preserved vegetables, teriyaki edamame and noodles.
Followed by a Chicken Katsu with seaweed butter (or Shiitake and tofu curry for our vego mates), Japanese-style fried rice and miso cucumber salad.
Finish it with a matcha crème caramel. It is a fun take on some of our favourite Japanese dishes!
The best bit, as a one-off addition, you can add a special tuna, seabream and wild kingfish sashimi dish with bonito vinegar dressing. This beauty is for this weekend-only, for those that want to up the ante!

Our StreetSide Hibachi BBQ and pop-up bar is back this weekend – and we have invited one of our mates to join!
We are thrilled to welcome “Kenny” Keng-Hao Chiu, Head Chef of Benchwarmer (West Melbourne), to help man our street-side BBQ this weekend. Kenny is bringing his signature West-Melbourne yakitori favourites to Sydney Road. Get read for umami rich, glazed skewers for lunch!

Yuzu Spritz At-Home
Given the popularity of our Yuzu Spritz, we thought to make it easy to create at-home. We are therefore launching our Yuzu-Spritz at-home pack, which give you 2x bottles of mini prosecco and a yuzu spritz mix.
All you need to do, is add ice to a glass, pop-bottles and pour! It is easy, fun, and bloody delicious!
